Do good work with good people.
That's me, so I'm not going to talk in third-person.
For about four years, I worked in the social media startup world as Yelp’s Senior Community Manager and Marketing Director in Minneapolis-St. Paul. I started during the company's early years and built a gigantic, engaged local community from the ground up (we're talking 1,000%+ leaps in local metrics during my tenure).
In 2012, I started Worthy Pause, where I develop and share healthy-ish recipes along with the travels that inspire everything I do in the kitchen. My work has been featured by Buzzfeed, Brit + Co, The Primal Life Kit, Cooking Light Magazine and more.
In 2014, I launched The Midwestival, an online community and travel publication that celebrates and challenges the idea of the Midwest. In the process, I built another gigantic, engaged community from the ground up. More than a hundred-thousand photos have been tagged #themidwestival on Instagram and the site has caught the attention of Food and Wine Magazine, the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine and several other regional media outlets.
Until recently, I also worked as an Executive Editor and then Video Producer & Strategist at MSP-C (2018 Content Marketing Agency of the Year), leading a small team, providing creative direction, strategy, helping develop recipes, filming and producing digital content for Pillsbury, Betty Crocker and Tablespoon.
This website is where my portfolio and many projects live — some of them are solo endeavors and others are done in partnership with very talented friends.
And many them involve food, so get hungry.
